🔮 MOSAIC S2E2
Since the beginning, before language and belief systems, there was rhythm. There was movement. There was sound. From fire-lit rituals to drum circles in the dark, humans have always danced, chanted, and moved as a way to connect — to each other, to spirit, to something deeper. These aren’t luxuries of culture, they’re survival technologies. And in a world that’s speeding up, glitching out, and flattening everything sacred into screens and swipes, reclaiming these ancient modes of expression is more important than ever.
Today, research is beginning to echo what ancestral traditions have always known — that altered states, when combined with rhythm and embodied expression, can open powerful channels for insight, integration, and healing. Psychedelic-assisted therapy consistently points to music as a central guide in the journey, shaping emotional landscapes and helping people move through trauma with greater ease. Studies also show that music can flood the brain with dopamine and serotonin, while dancing — especially in collective spaces — reduces stress, boosts cognitive health, and strengthens social connection. When we move — together, intentionally, and without shame — the body becomes more than a container. It becomes part of the medicine.
Mosaic S2E2 will explore these intersections — music, movement, and expression — as ancient portals to healing, presence, and liberation.
Tickets drop next week - May 19th. All MOSAIC episodes have sold out. Join the newsletter to be the first to know. Come ready to move, express, and break the spell.

✨ Altered States Weekly // Psychedelic research, rituals, and real-world impact
Music as a Collaborating Actor: new insights into the nature and role of music in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy re-evaluates how music functions within psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. It finds that music transforms from a passive background element into a deeply personal, multisensory experience, actively shaping participants’ emotional and therapeutic journeys during psychedelic sessions
Movement under the influence of psychedelics and music is thought to facilitate the reorganization of neural pathways and promote healing, especially in contexts like trauma or rehabilitation.
The psychedelic movement was partly a response to the materialism and social inequities of the postwar era, seeking healing and transformation through altered states. Proponents like Timothy Leary and Aldous Huxley promoted psychedelics as tools for personal growth and societal change, emphasizing unity, empathy, and expanded consciousness.
